Staring at the piano

Staring at the piano makes me want to play it even more. It's been a couple weeks since I sat down at the keys and pounded away at them in a vague attempt at getting some holiday music together for when my brother and uncle come home for Christmas. My brother will be bringing his wife and her family and hopefully I might have a friend drop by. It's nice to play a little tune to get the festive mood fully and completely into swing.

Now that I think of it, my sister will be home too and that will make it a full house with all 4 of us kids the parents, my aunt and uncle. Hopefully this year we won't have some unwelcome guests as we did last year. Last year I wished I could crush someone like a bug. Fortunately I didn't and we just smoked a pack of cigarettes in the mustang while listening to CFNY. Smoke up Johnny. Johnny's an American no drinks at the wheel. (To steal from Bowie).

The snow is finally on the ground and my shoes are cold and wet as ever, and I think they packaged my jacket off or sent it off to get cleaned or something. I knew it smelled like smoke, but I was unaware it was offensive enough to get moved. These things happen though, when you look at the world from behind a set of keys.

Alicia Keys put out some new music recently and Sarah Mclachlan also has a new one. It's good to see the pop stars are doing well this holiday. I am wishing them the best as they keep us all entertained and I hope to one day join them in the stars if its in the stars for me.

Christmas Bells oh Christmas Bells, Ringing Through The Year.
Bring Me Snoopy and Woodstock Any Day. My first girfriend was a Woodstock fanatic. She insisted that I listen to counterculture music. That was before the world turned into this futuristic neo-postpunk-zippie-hippie generation of polyglots on speed. We are all speaking different languages in the glowing ozone of the cathode.

The next hit single will be ICE CUBE and Shania Twain. Mark My Words.

Remember A Raindrop is Belief. But a Snoflake, Is a Shattered Diamond.
